Ikeda Castle Ruins Park
Ikeda Castle Ruins Park is located at the foot of Mayuyama in Ikeda City, Osaka Prefecture, and was opened in 2000. The castle was built by the Ikeda clan, a prominent family of the Toyoshima region, during the Muromachi to Sengoku periods. It served as the residence of the Ikeda clan for generations. After many conflicts and wars, the castle eventually fell and was abandoned. Today, the site is maintained as a park. The nearest station is Hankyu Railway’s Ikeda Station on the Takarazuka Line. Nearby, you can find the "Cup Noodles Museum Osaka Ikeda," which became famous due to the NHK morning drama "Manpuku" and is dedicated to the inventor of instant noodles, Momofuku Ando.
