Located in Minoh City, Osaka Prefecture, Meiji no Mori Minoo National Park is home to a stunning waterfall that is also one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls. This park is renowned for its beautiful autumn foliage. From Minoh Station, take the Hankyu train and then walk along the Minoh Waterfall Trail, which takes about an hour. The trail starts off gently but becomes steeper as you approach the Minoh Great Waterfall.

Along the trail to the Great Waterfall, you'll find various interesting spots, such as shops selling "momiji tempura," an elevator leading to the Minoh Tourism Hotel, as well as Koshikawa-so, Ryoanji Temple, the Insect Museum, and Yamamoto Coffee Shop. During the summer, the "Minoh Forest Music Festival" is held, and in autumn, the "Momiji Festival" takes place with beautiful autumn leaves illuminated at night. The Momiji Festival, in particular, has become increasingly popular with international tourists and can be quite crowded.

Additionally, in mid-June during the summer, you can enjoy a magical display of fireflies along the river by the waterfall trail. I used a tripod and a Canon DSLR camera, shooting in aperture priority mode (AV) at F4.0, shutter priority mode (TV) at 13 seconds, and ISO 2500. The fireflies appeared as lines rather than points due to their strong light.
